1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer - POA

1978 Blazer Photos-53

Overview:

This 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a true survivor that has been cared for over the last 46 years finished in “Lite Blue”. Finding a clean Blazer is becoming tougher and tougher as the years go on. Arid desert climates are the best for preserving old American metal, that is why we sourced this K5 that spent most of its life in Arizona. The thing with desert trucks is they have rust free clean chassis, but the paint is usually toasted to a crisp. This K5 was repainted by the pervious owner in the original color scheme and shows quite well.

The mechanics of this K5 are excellent, starts right up, runs strong, shifts well, and stops better than any vintage truck I have driven. This may have something to do with the new master cylinder, stainless brake lines, new calipers, new rear wheel cylinders, and a brake flush. This K5 also has new shocks, front leaf springs, and new 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler tires. All around an excellent driving Blazer that is ready to be enjoyed.

Cosmetically the Blazer is a looker, tough to go anywhere without people stopping you to compliment the truck. The Blazer has been repainted in the original color and shows really well. A few minor blemishes but over all a good paint job. Since this truck is from the desert the chassis is free of rust, all mounts and floorboards are rock solid. The only small area of rust is under the battery tray from a leaky battery at some point, extremely minor and not active. The interior is nearly all original besides the extremely comfortable bench seats and steering wheel. The radio and speakers work well and can be used with Bluetooth. A new windshield was installed as well.

Overall this is a great K5 Blazer to cruise the mountains or the beach, turn key and ready to enjoy. An important modification that makes this K5 very drivable with the lockout front hubs so that you do not have to drive in 4×4 at all times. This helps with MPGs and drivability. Have put nearly 1000 miles on this truck cruising A1A and has been a champ. Reach out with any questions, can assist with finding a shipper for those outside of Florida.
