How the Estate Vehicle Appraisal Works
We keep the process straightforward and documentation-based. Depending on access and the information available, the appraisal may be completed remotely or in person.
-
1
Confirm the Request
We start by confirming the vehicle details, where it is located, and the date the value should reflect (if applicable).
If you are working with an attorney or CPA, you can share any preferred wording for the effective date and intended use. -
2
Provide Photos & Basic Documentation
When sufficient photos and information are available, the appraisal can often be completed without an on-site visit.
A checklist is sent which includes: VIN, odometer photo, exterior/interior photos, keys, title/registration if available, and notes on known issues (non-running, damage, modifications). -
3
Market Support & Documentation
We research relevant market data and document the vehicle’s configuration and observed condition in a written report.
When comparable market data is limited, the report will note the limitations and explain the sources and reasoning used. -
4
Receive a Formal PDF Report
You receive a signed PDF appraisal that states the scope, assumptions, and the basis for the value conclusion.
If additional documentation becomes available later (records, photos, correction of vehicle details), the report may be updated accordingly.
Vehicle Values Documented in a Clear, Written Report
What You Can Expect
We focus on documenting the vehicle, the scope of work, and the market support used to reach the value conclusion. The process is designed to be straightforward for executors, families, and professionals managing vehicle assets.
Vehicle identification, condition notes, and market support presented in a structured format.
Where access and documentation allow, an appraisal can be completed remotely; in-person options may be available.
From newer daily drivers to classics and collector vehicles, depending on information available.
We state what was reviewed, what was observed, and any limitations that may affect the analysis.
